Eden Gardens Block Club met with Mayor Mike Duggan on May 5, 2015 in one of our member’s homes. It was an honor to have Mayor Duggan visit our community. Knowing that he cares about our east side community lifted our spirits and let us know we are not totally forgotten. It was great that he took the time to get to know us as Detroit residents on a personal level and learn about the many things we are doing here in Eden Gardens.
Eden Gardens Block Club was founded in 2009. Residents came together to make this area (two blocks east and four blocks north of Detroit City Airport) a place that is safe and a more viable place to live. We welcome all cultures and ethnic groups, so please don’t hesitate to reach out or move to our community.
